US letter-size saddle-stapled Media Magazine printed on a mix of newsprint and slick paper. Published by Krause Publications. Editors: Don and Maggie Thompson. Ten issues, 1983 to 1984. Publication schedule was quarterly.
A companion to Comics Buyer's Guide, this title was somewhat more dedicated than its parent to providing valuation and saleability information on Comics, with a price guide in each issue. There were also articles on popular titles of the day, including Superman and The X-Men, and on artists such as John Byrne. More specialist coverage included articles on Modesty Blaise (see Peter O'Donnell) and The Shadow. Unfortunately Comics Collector failed to establish itself, and soon ceased operations. [GSt]
