US Digest-size magazine. Three quarterly issues, February-August 1957; published by Ziff-Davis; edited by Paul W Fairman. Subtitled "Stories of Incredible Powers", Dream World was initiated as a response to the success of the December 1955 and October 1956 issues of Fantastic, both of which ran stories of wish-fulfilment sometimes featuring Psi Powers. The first issue featured a new story by P G Wodehouse and a reprint by Thorne Smith, but the magazine generally ran stories by the regular stable of writers who contributed to the Ziff-Davis magazines, notably Harlan Ellison, Randall Garrett, Milton Lesser and Robert Silverberg who contributed competent and sometimes amusing stories, written to order.
