(? - ) US academic and author of two Young Adult novels of sf interest. Your One & Only (2018), set in a distant Near Future, follows the solitary life of the sole human being left after the whole of Homo sapiens has died off in a vast Pandemic (see End of the World); only Clones survive, but one female clone falls in love with the protagonist. Cut Off (2020), set much closer to the present, features a survival Television show called CUT/OFF whose participants are injected with transmitters that convey to views (see Media Landscape) everything that happens to them on a deserted Island, including all interoceptor inputs, every peak and valley, arousal and despair. A litany of ominous events conspicuously evokes the Television drama Lost (2004-2010). [JC]
