Probably the working name of Hans Thorvald Johan Chris Herwer (1877-1949), a US painter whose sf novel is Dwellers in the Temple of Mondama: By Chris Herwer, H S D, Under the Guidance and Inspiration of the Ancient Lemurian Master G O Numa (1949), a Prehistoric SF tale set 81,000 years ago in Lemuria (see Atlantis), where a young couple are brought up in a vast temple and after breeding are ordered to leave home for ever as missionaries; which they do.
