(1963- ) US computer programmer, Game designer and author who began publishing work of genre interest with "A Mother's Love" for The Scream Factory in 1991, and whose Gabriel Knight sequence – comprising Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers (1997) and Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within (1998) – are technically Ties, though they are based on her own sequence of fantasy/horror CD-ROM Games, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers (1993) and Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within (1995); the third in the sequence, Gabriel Knight: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned (1999) was not novelized. Of perhaps greater interest are Millennium Rising (1999; vt Judgement Day 2000), a very Near Future involving a religious figure and an investigator who explore the possibility of the End of the World at the turn of the millennium; and Dante's Equation (2003), also featuring one religious and one secular protagonist, in this case examining the possibility that the laws of Good and Evil may have a base in physics.
