(1941- ) UK academic, poet and author whose first novel, OMEGA (1986), fairly belatedly depicts the fate of human civilization in the Near Future when a Computer (the acronym of the title) is put in charge. The Nostradamus Inheritance (1986), which is horror, lacks any links of interest to the historical Nostradamus; Legacy of the Shroud (1988) is a thriller involving Religion and recovered knowledge.
