(1922-2000) UK author, journalist and actor, most of whose books were borderline-sf Ties contributed to Television spin-off series, beginning with two titles tied to The Avengers (1961-1969): Deadline (1965) and Dead Duck (1966), both as by Patrick Macnee but probably entirely ghostwritten by Leslie. His tales for the Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1964-1968) series began with The Man from U.N.C.L.E. #5: The Finger in the Sky Affair (1966) and ended with The Man from U.N.C.L.E. #17: The Unfair Fare Affair (1968). For the Girl From U.N.C.L.E. (see The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) series he wrote The Girl From U.N.C.L.E. #4: The Cornish Pixie Affair (1967). Hell for Tomorrow (1965), for the Secret Agent series, is marginal. Leslie's most outright sf ties are his two titles for the Invaders (1967-1968) sequence dealing with insidious Alien Invasion: The Night of the Trilobites (1968) and The Autumn Accelerator (1969), being the third and fourth volumes in this sequence.

Later works are The Plastic Magicians: A Sheridan Scott novel (1970), a standalone thriller (with minor occult elements) somewhat in the Avengers mode whose subtitle may indicate an attempt to launch a series; and the Father Hayes trio opening with Father Hayes (1976), supernatural thrillers whose priest protagonist practises exorcism.
