(? - ) US author of several crime novels; some of her Young Adult books – like the Banished sequence comprising Banished (2010) and Unforsaken (2011) – are paranormal romances. Of sf interest is the complicatedly Equipoisal Aftertime sequence, comprising Aftertime (2011), Survivors (2011 ebook), Rebirth (2011) and Horizon (2012), whose protagonist awakens from possibly Drug-induced Suspended Animation into a Post-Holocaust California, where she is hunted by Zombies created through a government experiment gone wrong. Horror in SF tropes are allowed perhaps more play than entirely necessary, and elements of metaphysical fantasy are detectable, but the dreadfulness of the world is properly evident throughout; fortunately there is a chance that the protagonist, and her pair of male loves, may find refuge northwards along the Pacific Rim.
