(?   -    ) UK design consultant, editor, Comics writer and author, much of whose work has been for younger children (and is not listed here); of his Young Adult work, much is nonfantastic. He is responsible for a late set of Ties to Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's last television series, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967-1968), beginning with Fire at Rig 15 (1993) and ending with Playing with Fire (1993); he also contributed a shorter sequence to the Thunderbirds universe, beginning with Countdown to Disaster (1993). The Strange Hiding Place sequence, beginning with Strange Hiding Place 1: Hard Drive (1995), exposes its young protagonist to two Alien civilizations at war. Individual titles include Fault Line (1996), in which Dinosaurs appear in Los Angeles, Zoo (2005), whose young protagonist's Paranoia about his parents and the world at large is justified, and Omega Place (2007), set in a surveillance-saturated Near Future London, where 250,000 CCTV cameras are in operation.
