US letter-size Cinema/Television magazine printed on newsprint paper. Publisher: Sterling's Magazines Inc. No editor named. Four issues from 1978 to 1980.
This magazine's parent publication TV Greats, launched in October 1977, was devoted to general film and television. Recognizing that Fantasy and sf had again become seriously profitable, Sterling cashed in with four erratically published special issues that focused on genre material under the title TV Greats: Space Stars of Movies and TV. Appearing from 1978 to early 1980, these covered such inescapable contemporary fare as Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977). Television programmes examined included Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979), Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979-1981), The Incredible Hulk (1978-1982), Mork & Mindy (1978-1982) and The Adventures of Wonder Woman (1976-1979; vt The New Adventures of Wonder Woman) (see Wonder Woman Film/TV). The four issues sold reasonably well and are not difficult to locate. A number of colour photographs from the various productions were included as posters. [GSt/DRL]
