(? - ) US lawyer and author whose Twin-Bred sequence, beginning with Twin-Bred (2010; rev 2014), examines in some detail the interspecies complications following First Contact between Homo sapiens and the hermaphroditic inhabitants of a planet which the former hope to colonize peacefully (see Colonization of Other Worlds). Attempts to bond the two species through an artificially-induced breeding of twins (one twin of each species) have ambiguous results. A third species, in this case triple-sexed, complicates the picture. Wormholes provide access to distant parts of the galaxy. There is much to hope for.
