Pseudonym of a Canadian author (? - ) whose legal name, under which she has published academic nonfiction, has not been revealed; she began to release work of genre interest with "The Chartreuse Monster" in Expanded Horizons for July 2010. Monsters in My Mind (coll 2017) assembles this tale, along with nearly fifty additional stories, the collection comprising most of her work in short forms, most of it fantastic but with little sf. ...
Churchill, David
(? - ) UK author of Young Adult sf novels including It, Us, and the Others (1978), whose young protagonists discover an Alien underwater, and Not My World (1980). He may be the David Churchill credited with the teleplay for the 1986 four-part miniseries presentation of Mervyn Peake's Mr Pye (1953). [JC]

Bertram, Noel
Pseudonym of Noel Boston (1910-1966), and not, as has often been thought, of his friend R L Fanthorpe. Bertram privately published some supernatural stories as Yesterday Knocks (coll 1953; exp 2003 as Boston); his ten tales 1960-1962 in Supernatural Stories, the Badger Books magazine whose contents were mostly written by Fanthorpe, have been verified.
