Working name of Akira Matsumoto (1938-2023), Japanese artist and illustrator whose Space Opera stories and designs became icons of Manga and Anime in the 1970s and 1980s. (1925-1993) US author, brother of March Laumer, who used his experiences in the US armed forces and Diplomatic Corps to considerable advantage in his sf work.
