Working name of Irish archaeologist and author Paddy Figgis (1939-    ), who also writes as by Helen Wykham; her fourth novel, The Fourth Mode (1989), sensitively depicts a Near Future small town and the natural life surrounding it as a nuclear Holocaust first threatens, then arrives. [JC]

Horstman, Thomas

(?   -    ) US author of a borderline sf tale, The Kessler Alliance (1980), in which a cadre of Nazis hopes to rule the world as Hitler might have (see Hitler Wins for discussion of genuine Alternate Histories on these lines); a sense of Paranoia is duly stirred. [JC]
