Adlard, Mark

Working name used by UK author Peter Marcus Adlard (1932-    ) for all his books. Until his retirement in 1976 he was a manager in the steel industry, and his knowledge of managerial and industrial problems plays a prominent role in his Tcity trilogy: Interface (1971), Volteface (1972) and Multiface (1975). Orkow, Ben

(1896-1988) Russian-born author, in US from 1906 and naturalized in 1924, mostly of plays and film scripts; he also wrote as B Harrison Orkow. In his sf novel When Time Stood Still (1962) a couple travel via Suspended Animation to 2007 CE, where advances in Medicine may offer a cure to her fatal disease. [JC]

DeMarce, Virginia

(1940-    ) US historian specializing in early modern European history, who began to publish work of genre interest with "The Rudolstadt Colloquy" in Grantville Gazette for October 2003.
