(1948-2015) US writer whose first work of genre interest was Edgar Rice Burroughs: Bibliography and Price Guide (1974 chap), but who is of main interest for his Titans sequence – Lord of the Crooked Paths (1987), Master of the Fearful Depths (1989) and Sons of the Titans (1990) – which retells Greek Myths, the first two volumes recounting stories of the Titan Kronos and his allies and enemies, none of whom pay much attention to the newly created human race; the third volume takes up the story of the young Zeus through a plotline that casts him as a Hidden Monarch whose identity is concealed from his dread father, Kronos, and who is therefore not eaten alive.
