The City: 2000 A.D.: Urban Life Through Science Fiction (anth 1976), where Clem's byline omits the middle initial, assembles sf tales of Cities life along with an editorial introduction and thirteen essays on such aspects as Crime and Punishment, Dystopia, Pollution, Overpopulation, race (see Race in SF), Transportation and the city as Utopia. No Room For Man: Population and the Future Through Science Fiction (anth 1979) similarly addresses matters of Overpopulation, with an editorial introduction plus three essays dealing with Ecology, Sociology and possible solutions.
