Eason, K

(?   -    ) US teacher and author, most of whose early work has been fantasy, beginning with her first publication of genre interest, "Little Red" in Cabinet de Fées (anth 1992) edited by Helen Pilinovsky and Erzebet YellowBoy. Her first series, the On the Bones of Gods sequence beginning with Enemy (2016), is fantasy. Her second, the Thorne Chronicles sequence beginning with How Rory Thorne Destroyed the Multiverse (2019), establishes the spoofishly Equipoisal substrate that governs her work in general: a Space Opera princess who must fight for the throne she should be inheriting, fortunately aided by a slew of fairy blessings. A subseries, the Thorne Chronicles: The Weep sequence beginning with Nightwatch on the Hinterlands (2020), mixes rationalized figures out of fantasy games (see Games and Sports) into the previously encountered space opera galaxy; there are Military SF sequences, and some attention is paid to defending a justice-based multi-species civilization.
