US letter-size magazine, edited by Walter B Gibson, the prolific pulp writer and creator of The Shadow (see The Shadow). Only two issues appeared, #1 (August 1952) published by Super Science Fiction Publications, #2 (December 1952) by Capitol Stories, both subsidiaries of Charlton Publications, Connecticut.
This inferior magazine, whose stories featured formulaic, simplistic and chauvinistic adventure, should not be confused with Fantastic, also begun in 1952, which for April 1955-February 1958 was likewise titled Fantastic Science Fiction. [BS/PN/MA]
