(? - ) US editor, publisher, academic and author who began to publish work of genre interest with "A Sailor on the Sea of Humanity" in Keen Science Fiction for July 1996. His first novel, Noontide Night: A Y2K Novel (1999), is set in a very Near Future world where the feared Y2K Disaster of 2000, when Computers and the Internet fail for not implausible technical reasons, turns out to be as real as anticipated. In Burt's second novel, Termination of Species (2023), terrorists threaten world civilization after they have hijacked an AI wired up for military purposes.
