US letter-size saddle-stapled Cinema magazine printed on a mix of newsprint and better-quality paper. Publisher: Reliance Publications. No editor named. At least 14 issues from October 1978 to October 1980. Publication schedule was bimonthly.
This title was yet another imitator of Starlog and similar publications which flooded US newsstands from the late 1970s into the early 1980s. It managed to survive longer than most, despite not being of significantly greater quality. Material on Isaac Asimov and Ray Bradbury gave it slightly more sf interest than most of its competitors. Otherwise the expected productions of the day were covered, such as Wonder Woman (see Wonder Woman Film/TV) and Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1981). [GFi]
