(1916-2009) US film and television producer who began his career as producer of Tom Corbett: Space Cadet (1950-1955). From 1951 to 1953 he produced seven segments of the anthology series Tales of Tomorrow (1951-1956), and later (1965-1966) nine episodes of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1964-1968). Abrahams was associate producer of Planet of the Apes (1968) and its first sequel Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970), and co-wrote the screenplay of the latter; additionally he was associate producer of a documentary on the making of the franchise, Behind the Planet of the Apes (1998).
