Preferred rendering of the name of US lecturer, podcaster, poet and author (? - ), who is listed as having published early work as by Anastasha Renée, including The Awakening: Feel the Heat (2014), a Young Adult Vampire novel. She is of sf interest for Here in the (Middle) of Nowhere (coll of linked poems 2024) (see Poetry), a sequence of prose poems and narratives in verse centred around – and often embodied by Avatars or "luciles" of – an entity named Lucile, who is the AI of a Spaceship crashed on Earth, but who is as multifarious as the Multiverse she accesses. The tales told are very various, complexly forthright about gender and Sex issues (see also Race in SF). The end result is choral, transgressively communitarian. [JC]
