(? - ) Italian-born scientist, author and critic, in the USA from 2002, currently course director for sf and fantasy at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, and a senior research scientist at the Astrosociology Research Institute. He began to publish nonfiction of genre interest with a detailed historical study of the Generation Starship theme, The Generation Starship in Science Fiction: A Critical History, 1934-2001 (2011). A later work, The Culture Series of Iain M Banks: A Critical Introduction (2015) provides an intelligent and thoroughly researched overview of the Culture Space Opera sequence by Iain M Banks, which began with Consider Phlebas (1987) and ended with The Hydrogen Sonata (2012).
