(1936- ) Canadian author and editor of over 80 books, notably anthologies of Canadiana and works of popular reference, the most important volume of this sort with general interest being the large Colombo's Canadian References (1976). Books with sf relevance include: CDN SF&F: A Bibliography of Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy (1979 chap) with Michael Richardson, Alexandre L Amprimoz and John Bell; Blackwood's Books: A Bibliography Devoted to Algernon Blackwood (1981); Years of Light: A Celebration of Leslie A. Croutch (1982). The Great Wall of China: An Entertainment (1966 chap) and Mostly Monsters (coll 1977) are volumes of found Poetry with fantastic content. Other Canadas: An Anthology of Science Fiction and Fantasy (anth 1979) was the first anthology of Canadian sf, and Not to Be Taken at Night: Thirteen Classic Canadian Tales of Mystery and the Supernatural (anth 1981) likewise for Canadian Horror fiction.
