(? - ) Thailand-born author, in US from the age of twelve. Her stories, which range over various genres, have been assembled as Shadow-Play: Ten Tales from the In-Between (coll 2018). Her first novel, Reset (2021), unpacks in an abstracted Dystopian world where, every four years, a Memory Edit resets one's memories, in order to remove prejudices.; individualized AI monitors keeps track of one's concerns. The end result, that human beings are subjected to reconstruction and inbuilt surveillance, conveys a strong sense that the fungible creatures so manufactured are less than fully human. [JC]
