Undisclosed pseudonym for their sf of a presumably US author (? - ), who also writes as by Joel Ross (fantasy) and Joel Naftali (for younger readers), all these aliases specifically linked by the use of the same given name. It is an unconfirmed speculation that the author is in fact Joel Shepherd, whose work, especially his Military SF, bears a reasonable resemblance to work under these various names. Dane's various series, like the CyberSkunk Files sequence beginning with The Rendering (2011), are competent and quick, some titles being clearly addressed to a Young Adult audience.
Of perhaps stronger interest is what seems (as far as can be determined) to be the author's first singleton, The Ragpicker (2024), whose protagonists embark on a Fantastic Voyage through the distant Near-Future relics of abandonment of an empty Ruined Earth; their experiences, haunted by Avatars and monuments, seem more sumptuous than alarming.
