(1948- ) Australian historian (with a PhD in history) and author active in Fandom since 1966; recipient of four Ditmar Awards for Fanzines and fan writing. His Fanew Sletter (100 issues, February 1974 to July 1978) was a noted Australian Newszine in its day; his many other fanzines included Ornithopter (11 issues, May 1977 to December 1982), circulated through FAPA until #9 (December 1981). He has published one sf story professionally: "Relics" in Eidolon for Winter 1992. Edmonds's numerous books on Australian history are not listed below; his major work of genre interest is the deeply researched Proud and Lonely: A History of Science Fiction Fandom in Australia, Part One: 1936-1961 (2024), whose title is self-explanatory.
