Pseudonym of the unidentified UK author (? - ) of New Britain (1820) [see Checklist for full title], a Utopia on clemently socialist lines, except for heavy strictures against untoward Sex, as the society is devoutly Malthusian. The setting is somewhere westish of Minnesota; the Lost Race which founded New Britain is made up of Puritans from the early sixteenth century – their successful settlement considerably precedes that of Jamestown, therefore.
