(? - ) Canadian author, editor, publisher and anthologist who launched the short-lived Semiprozine Edge Detector (which see) in Summer 1988, its first issue also containing his debut story "Darkness Falls from the Air" and the opening instalment of his Comic strip "Nomads" as by Genetic Lunarian. With David G Hartwell he edited two notable anthologies of Canadian sf: Northern Stars: The Anthology of Canadian Science Fiction (anth 1994) and Northern Suns (anth 1999). Grant's selected short fiction, including stories from Interzone, was later assembled as Burning Days (coll 2011). [DRL]
