(1985- ) UK playwright whose Wendy & Peter Pan (performed 10 December 2013; 2014) is a Feminist restructuring of J M Barrie's version of the title characters, mostly adapting his Peter and Wendy (1911) [for J M Barrie see The Encyclopedia of Fantasy under links below]. Of more direct sf interest is Oil (performed 7 October 2016; 2016), whose cast, centrally comprising a mother and her daughter, passes through various eras via unexplained Time Travel, beginning in 1889 and hopscotching back and forth from then to Near Future 2051, against a background of resource depletion and Climate Change. Their dysfunctional lives, acutely envisioned, are interwoven with the mother's professional and personal involvement with the oil industry over the century or so of its dominance. [JC]
