(1948-2023) US author, fan, and collector and historian of Comics – especially of EC Comics – who began to publish relevant nonfiction and artwork in the Fanzine Squa Tront edited and published by his friend Jerry Weist and launched in 1967. The Squa Tront association continued for more than 40 years. Hill also published his own EC Fan-Addict Fanzine from 2003.
Hill contributed multiple essays to the Frank R Paul art showcase Frank R. Paul: The Dean of Science Fiction Illustration (graph 2012). He wrote the text of the Wally Wood showcase Galaxy Art and Beyond (graph 2016), the Reed Crandall study Reed Crandall: Illustrator of the Comics (graph 2017), and others.
He should not be confused with Roger Hill the co-author of Knight Rider novelizations. [DRL]
