(?   -    ) US author, married to H P Holo, active from around 2010, much of his work being in collaboration with Holo or with David Weber; his first novel, like almost all his titles a Space Opera, is The Dragons of Jupiter (2013). In his first series, the Young Adult Seraphim Revival sequence beginning with Bane of the Dead (2015), a narrative line involving the Equipoisal presence of the dead tends to boil down to Military SF, with attention paid to Mechas and other implements. Holo is of most interest for the Gordian Protocol sequence beginning with The Gordian Protocol (2019) with David Weber, a complex tale in which, at least initially, our world after World War Two is seen as a terrible Alternate History that must be prevented from taking over the much juster mainline post-war reality, the heart of a relatively clement home Multiverse which the protagonists of the series defend, acting at points as Time Police guarding against enemies from the future (see Changewar; Time Opera; Time Travel). Stephen King is homaged through the use of his fictional town Castle Rock. [JC]
