(1973- ) US software engineer and author whose first novel, The Order of Odd-Fish (2008), is a Young Adult fantasy whose orphan protagonist begins to come of age through a Fantastic Journey through an exorbitant Wonderland expectedly in search of her true nature, which she finds. Kennedy is of interest for his second novel, Dare to Know (2021), in which the Discovery of a subatomic particle dubbed the thanaton (see Imaginary Science) leads to a Dystopian world in which one's death can be predicted (see Precognition), though the date of the protagonist's own death seems to have happened earlier on the day he discovered it; the tale then twists into various possible realities [for Posthumous Fantasy here and Wonderland above see The Encyclopedia of Fantasy under links below]. The protagonist of Bride of the Tornado (2023), attracted to a seemingly teenage boy who seems capable of taming the tornados that assault their small city, discovers a deep marriage between this young "human" and planetary turmoil.
