(1940- ) UK author of the Cade series of Near Future police procedurals, beginning with Cade #1: Darksiders (1992) as Mike Linaker; the tales are set primarily in New York, though Cade and his Cyborg sidekick find their investigations taking them to an asteroid mining colony in the first instalment. The earlier Scorpion series comprises horror tales featuring mutated Monster scorpions. [JC]
