(1949- ) US author on computer issues from the early 1980s, well-known for the "Digital Tools" column in Forbes; and author of several novels for the Young Adult and the younger children markets, the comical Oscar Noodleman sequence – comprising That Game from Outerspace: The First Strange Thing That Happened to Oscar Noodleman (1983 chap), The Oscar J Noodleman Television Network: The Second Strange Thing That Happened to Oscar Noodleman (1984) and Chicken Trek: The Third Strange Thing That Happened to Oscar Noodleman (1987) – focusing on mishaps caused by Inventions that go when in the protagonist's possession. An Almost Perfect Game (1997) is a Baseball tale whose protagonist is able, intermittently, to make accurate Predictions about future games. [JC]
