(1925-2017) Australian cartoonist and Comics illustrator from 1940, best known for creating (with writer Jack Bellew) and drawing 64 issues of Captain Atom for Atlas Publications of Clifton Hill, Melbourne, from 1948 to 1954. In his second career, as an author, he published work of sf interest, including The Pawn (1975) and Technothrillers like The Mind Breaker (1980) and The Duplicate (1985). [JC]
