Though other genres were covered, much of Movie Club's content was devoted to Horror and sf films including The Black Scorpion (1957), The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) and Frankenstein (1931). Notables featured included Boris Karloff along with performers such as Yvette Vickers who had achieved minor cult status. Co-editor Dohler had been making low-budget horror and sf films since the 1970s and had been involved with other publications such as Cinemagic. [GSt]
