(1973- ) UK author, chiefly of Ties to the Doctor Who universe, beginning with Doctor Who: The New Adventures: Falls the Shadow (1994); of these, Doctor Who: The Missing Adventures: The Man in the Velvet Mask (1996) stands out for its inclusion of the Marquis de Sade as a central character. Force Majeure (2007) is a Fabulation with marginal sf elements but tending more towards fantasy. Faction Paradox: Newtons Sleep (2008 New Zealand) is sf set in the Faction Paradox Shared World created – originally in the Doctor Who context but subsequently becoming a setting for non-Doctor works – by Lawrence Miles.
