(1952-2020) Canadian musician, lyricist and author best known as the drummer and main songwriter for the rock group Rush. He began to publish fiction of genre interest with the dark fantasy or Horror story "Drumbeats" with Kevin J Anderson in Shock Rock II (anth 1994) edited by Jeff Gelb. The Rush Steampunk album Clockwork Angels (2012) was novelized by Kevin J Anderson as Clockwork Angels (2012), a book also including Peart's lyrics for the album; this opened the Clockwork Angels trilogy whose second and third volumes, Clockwork Lives (2015) and Clockwork Destiny (2022), were collaborations between Anderson and Peart.
