(1909-1990) US journalist and author, mostly of nonfiction works analysing politics in general and elections in particular from a conservative point of view; probably best known for Barry Goldwater: Freedom Is His Flight Plan (1962). He is of sf interest for The Remnant: A Political Novel (1962), a Near Future novel of Politics set in 1972 Washington, examining labour/management relations from his particular standpoint as polemicist.
