(1963- ) Canadian author and editor who began to publish work of genre interest with the essay "En remontée après la chute libre" (1990 Solaris #89). His first book-length work was the Alternate-History anthology Arrowdreams: An Anthology of Alternate Canadas (anth 1999) edited with John Dupuis. Also of alternate-history interest is the Jewish-themed Other Covenants: Alternate Histories of the Jewish People (anth 2022) edited with Andrea D Lobel.
Shainblum has additionally published some short fiction and co-edited a volume of the Canadian Tesseracts anthology sequence: Tesseracts Nineteen: Superhero Universe (anth 2016) with Claude Lalumière. [DRL]
