(1927-2024) Scots music teacher and fan active in Fandom from the earlier 1950s, whose Fanzines included Haemogoblin (5 issues 1953-1959) and Needle (five issues 1954-1955); a founder member of Glasgow's New Lands SF Club in 1952 and of OMPA (which see) in 1954. He was largely inactive from 1958 to the 1990s, but then began to participate again and early in the new century published a memoir of Unknown, to which he had subscribed in the 1940s: Once There Was a Magazine: A Personal View of Unknown and Unknown Worlds (September 2000, May 2002 Banana Wings; exp 2002).
