(1966- ) US author, editor, entrepreneur and publisher who began to publish work of genre interest with "Penney" in The Sterling Web for Winter 1989. He has published occasional stories ever since, including a number of contributions to the "Probability Zero" department of Analog (where he has served as associate editor); many of his stories including "Probability Zero" squibs are collected in Wandering Through Time (coll 2024).
Under the aegis of Warren Lapine's DNA Publications, Strock edited the entire eight-issue run Artemis Magazine from Autumn 2000 to Winter 2003, and was also the final editor of Science Fiction Chronicle (which see) from issue #257 in April 2005 to #267 in September 2006. In November 2010 he took over Fantastic Books, the former DNA Publications sf/fantasy imprint, and continues to run this as an imprint of his own small press Gray Rabbit Publications.
