US Digest-size magazine. Three issues March 1934 to Winter 1935, published by Fantasy Publishers, Everett, Pennsylvania; edited by William L Crawford. An advance issue of this Semiprozine (see also Small Presses) was published (and mailed) in two parts in 1934, and could be considered as #1, even though the 1935 issues are referred to as #1 (May/June 1935) and #2 (Winter 1935). The final issue ambitiously started a serial, "A Diamond Asteroid" by Lowell Howard Morrow, the outcome of which no one has known or probably cared about in all the intervening years. Unusual was a companion magazine to Marvel Tales, but unlike that magazine published no important stories, running items by authors who had previously sold to Hugo Gernsback's magazines: Cyril G Wates, Robert A Wait and Richard Tooker.
