Entry updated 22 October 2025. Tagged: Award.
Juried Award presented since 2022 in memory of Ursula K Le Guin, for a book-length work of imaginative fiction published in the USA which "reflects the concepts and ideas that were central to Ursula's own work, including but not limited to: hope, equity, and freedom; non-violence and alternatives to conflict; and a holistic view of humanity's place in the natural world." The eligibility window, formerly including January to March of the year of presentation (hence the 2024 award to a 2024 novel in the winner list below), is being simplified to publication at any time in the previous calendar year.
