(1894-1985) US author and pathologist who began publishing sf with "The Double Lightning" for Amazing Detective Tales (see Scientific Detective Monthly) in June 1930 and "Underground Waters" for Science Wonder Quarterly (see Wonder Stories Quarterly), Winter 1930. He soon became inactive, only much later producing his short sf novel Farewell to the Bomb (1967 chap), a somewhat incoherent tale in which a fiend in human shape assembles 50,000 people in Underground Antarctic caves as a preliminary to his plan to destroy the world via nuclear Holocaust.
