(? - ) Australian author and film critic/historian who regularly contributes to Cinema journals and works with film festivals. She began to publish book-length work of genre interest with the Monster Movies reference The Pocket Essential Monster Movies (2008). The Fly (2017) is a study of The Fly (1986) directed by David Cronenberg which, quoting from interviews with the cast, crew, commentators, and other filmmakers, combines the traditional making-of-the-film approach with an assessment of this remake's importance and position in the Horror in SF canon. Seconds (2021) with Jez Conolly examines the intensely Paranoid film Seconds (1966) directed by John Frankenheimer. The Bride of Frankenstein (anth 2022) edited by Westwood is a symposium of viewpoints on aspects of The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) directed by James Whale. [DRL]
