(? - ) US author most of whose works are explicitly (and it is to presumed all are in fact) doctrinally consistent with her particular Christian faith (see Religion). Her numerous fantasies [not given in Checklist below] are clear examples of this procedure from conviction. Of sf interest is the Safe Lands sequence beginning with Captives (2013), which describes in Young Adult terms a Near Future Dystopian world, which offers illicit pleasures of the flesh, and from which the series's young protagonists must guide their people to a promised land. In Replication: The Jason Experiment (2011), a Clone bred Underground with his identicals aspires to see the stars; once reaching the world outside, he is helped by a young friend to realize his dream.
