(? - ) South African author currently resident in the UK, whose Land of Hope and Glory series, beginning with Land of Hope and Glory (2011), is an Alternate History sequence set mostly in a nineteenth-century Britain centuries after the Moors have conquered Europe, only to have lost much of this territory to the Rajthana Empire of India. The narrative shifts Equipoisally between sf and fantasy, with elements of Magic recurring frequently. The series is marked by a pervasive Steampunk glow. [JC]
